June 22 – 26, 2022 | Berlin, Germany

The Grand Finale …
A special highlight on June 26, the last day of the CHORALSPACE Summer Festival 2022:
A joint performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in the Philharmonie Berlin.

Innovative Choral Collaborations
in Berlin’s Top Venues

The four days of preparation leading to the grand finale are an excellent opportunity for the participants to get to know each other, to explore Berlin’s irresistible charm and be forever changed by the extraordinarily high and heavenly notes and emotions that Carmina Burana evokes in its performers. It is this synergistic combination of elements that is bound to reward participants with one of the most deeply satisfying experiences of a lifetime.

Carl Orff
Carmina Burana

Carmina Burana is one of the best-known choral extravaganzas and probably the most frequently performed choral work of the 20th century. Based on a collection of poems and songs from the 11th to 13th century, this secular oratorio sings of the earthy joys of the tavern, nature, love, and lust. The work is divided into three sections preceded by and ending with Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi.
