The First performance. The Creation of a New Composition
February 1, 2022 at 19:00 CET (Online Session)
There is no recipe for the successful creation of a new masterpiece! But where long experience and passion meet devotion and talent, there is so much room for learning and success!
How do You develop your new repertoire? Coming from someone who has been blessed with numerous wonderful encounters with very talented composers, this session will be invaluable for everyone who is looking for guidance and insights on how to breathe life into their new composition!
Kaspars Putniņš is music director of the Swedish Radio Choir, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC), and permanent conductor of the Latvian Radio Choir since 1994. He regularly appears as a guest conductor with leading European choirs.
Whilst Kaspars Putniņš’s work encompasses a wide range of choral repertoire from Renaissance polyphony to works of the Romantic period, his foremost goal has always been that of promoting new outstanding choral music – the kind of new repertoire that challenges and develops the abilities of his performers and takes their vocal sound to entirely uncharted territories.
