International Networking for Musical Development
October 19, 2021 at 19:00 CET (Online Session)
There are many challenges young musicians have to face to pursue their talents and interests. But while it is true that there is often no scaffolding for art, there is a lot you can do with what you already have.
This class will bring some insights about how to grow your projects by creating an international network with colleagues around the world, making the case that it is not money but hard work and commitment that are the key to success.
Rodrigo Faguaga is general director at CICE, an experimental choral center, where he conducts choirs and coaches choral groups, singers and teachers. Since 2011, his career has focused on reaching high visibility levels with his choirs, an effort that produced quite a success with him being selected to perform with the Rolling Stones in their first concert in Uruguay and, later on, releasing his first CD, ‘Rapsodia 5 años’.
Rodrigo runs several successful international programs whose aim is bringing international choral expertise to Uruguay in the form of workshops, concerts, collaborations, and exchanges. He has also conducted festival choirs and gave workshops throughout the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Perú, Chile, Portugal and Costa Rica.
