The Secrets of Success:
Choir Singing that Excites any Audience
One of the features of a great choir is the chemistry among its members and how well they can relate to various audiences. It is, therefore, essential for a conductor to be able to train their choir to achieve this level of performance.
This class will be about leading choirs towards success, picking the right songs for the right audience, and performing in such a way as to stir up the hearts of any audience.
Walt W. Whitman is the founder and CEO of the Soul Children of Chicago, the internationally acclaimed Grammy award-winning choir and, at the same, the oldest American youth gospel choir, soon celebrating 40 years. Walt is a professional singer, musician, international choral conductor, choral clinician, vocal technician, artist, and music consultant, who has traveled across the world conducting and training choirs to be the best they can be.
As a recording artist, he has toured Italy, Spain, Israel, Netherlands, and South Africa with the Soul Chidren of Chicago. Walt specializes in international choral music training, both for youth and adults, bringing gospel music to the classical experience, and exposing different genres to a diverse repertoire of music.
