Following the spectacular experience of our first international project in the sold-out Golden Hall, CHORALSPACE returns to Vienna in October 2027.
The Musikverein once again opens its doors for an extraordinary singing project: around 500 singers from all over the world will come together to perform Mozart’s great Mass in C minor in one of the world’s most celebrated concert halls.
Solo showcases by the participating ensembles will complement the programme, bringing different choral traditions and voices to the stage.
The concert will be conducted by Sergi Gili Solé, marking his fourth major project with CHORALSPACE – following Carmina Burana in 2022, Verdi’s Requiem in 2024 and Haydn’s Die Schöpfung in 2026.

The project is open to singers who register individually as well as to choirs and ensembles that can participate as a complete ensemble or as part of an ensemble.

What do we sing?
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Missa in C minor K. 427 “Great Mass in C minor”
We will use the vocal score of the Bärenreiter Verlag BA04846-90, ISMN 9790006456932
Scores are available in our webshop or in music stores.
The participating choirs and ensembles will also have the opportunity to present their own repertoire in various concerts during the project as well as at the final concert at the Musikverein Wien.
Who will lead the project?
The project is led by Sergi Gili Solé, Artistic Director of a.o. Berliner Cappella and the Konzertchor Friedenau.
Where will rehearsals and concerts take place?
All rehearsals and the concert will take place at the Musikverein Wien.
The rehearsals of Thursday and Friday in the Brahms Saal, the final rehearsal and the concert in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein Wien
What costs are involved?
The participation fee for the academy is EUR 195.00 per participant.
Non-performing accompanying persons are offered a reduced participation fee of 55 EUR per person, which includes access to all rehearsals and tickets in the best category for the concerts, including the performance at the Musikverein Wien.
Accompanying persons, friends and fans that wish to attend only the concert at the Musikverein Wien can purchase concert tickets in our ticket website (available from February 1, 2027).
Where can I find accommodation?
For this project, we will select several hotels near the Musikverein in Wien that offer special rates for participants. You will find the offers here soon.

Artistic Leadership
Sergi Gili Solé (Principal Conductor)
Sergi Gili Solé is a conductor with extensive and diverse experience conducting choirs and orchestras. Mr. Solé graduated from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) and studied choral conducting, orchestral conducting, and accompaniment at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) under renowned professors such as Prof. Lutz Köhler, Prof. Kai-Uwe Jirka, Prof. Harry Lyth, and Prof. Patrick Walliser. Since completing his studies, Mr. Solé has gained widespread acclaim in the choral scene through a variety of engagements and has established a successful tradition in preparing participants for the Berlin Radio Choir’s sing-along projects. He currently conducts the Berliner Cappella, the Ensamble Encanto, and the Friedenau Concert Choir.
